Details

Cape Ortegal is a cape located on the Spanish Atlantic coast, within the municipality of Cariño, in the province of La Coruña, autonomous community of Galicia.

From this cape to the Portuguese border extends the most rugged coastline of the Spanish coast, and, in turn, is the western boundary of the Bay of Biscay, according to the International Hydrographic Organization. It is the symbolic watershed between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Sea.
